Celebrating with Balloons ~ Bouquets, Decorations and More!

2/25/2020

For both children and adults, balloons can have a magical power. Those high floating orbs of color - there is nothing like it. When retiring, they make you feel appreciated, when moving into a new home, they make you feel settled, when sick, they can really cheer you up. However, for parties, balloons literally give you so much bang for your buck (sorry, I could not resist).
Balloons for parties are really a great way to set the stage for a great event. Whether are weighted and arranged into table centerpiece or left to decorate along the floor - balloon bouquets are a sure fire way to add some pazazz to any location. Having a corporate event that will last several days? Mylar - Foil balloons are the way to go. Although they cost more per bouquet, they can last for weeks!
Because bouquets consist of multiple balloons, they are larger, therefore they make a much bigger impression. With so  many possibilities of color and size, the sky is truly the limit decorating with balloons! One of our favorite parties from the last few months was this "Shark" themed party that had us using 30" wide helium filled balloons in aqua and sea blue. Would you consider using balloons for your next event? We'd love to help you!

Memorial Services

8/22/2019

You might wonder why I'm writing about memorial services but a trend today seems to be to have luncheons or even dinners in remembrance of loved ones in locations other than funeral homes. Although it's important to celebrate a life during wakes and viewings, many folks are opting for larger more planned affairs at locations such as banquet halls,  restaurants and even botanical and sculpture gardens.

These beautiful designs below were created for a memorial luncheon to celebrate the life of a man who was an artist.  Taking place at Grounds for Sculpture, the setting will be the perfect spot for family to gather and remember a life well lived. The family knew he would love color and uniqueness of these designs. Although we are often called upon to design for happy occasions, we are proud to offer centerpieces and tributes for memorial services like this one.

Trends in Event Design

I'm laughing as I type this because I wanted to share what trends for special event decor was in right now and in this post and photo below there are 2 trends in one. The color Aqua and Giant Balloons. Folks are still loving these jumbo 30" wide balloons. Whether they use them as centerpieces or floor bouquets, they surely make a statement, don't they?

We've noticed a trend back to using balloons for weddings. Take this wedding below where the bride wanted white balloons with trails of fresh foliage vines cascading down. After the ceremony, these were bought inside the Nassau Club to decorate the ballroom. Don't they look gorgeous?

Would you consider using balloons at your next event? What about your wedding? We hope you do!!

Bigger is Not Always Better...

I'm a big believe in bigger is not always better. Take these adorable centerpieces for instance - they may be small but they are mighty. Their vibrant colors will really pop once on the tables. Imagine these centerpieces bigger but all white? All white is lovely but you won't get that wow factor. If you don't have much to spare for flowers for your event, why not consider vibrant colors?

Has your business ever hosted an event at your site or at a hotel? Have you considered the spending a little bit of your budget on flowers? Take the flowers below created for Luxe Home's Opening house hosting the Princeton area Realtors. As an upscale furniture source with talented decorators, they put their best foot forward hosting almost 100 people in their showroom! The flowers really add a fresh pop and go with their overall look and decor.

A good way to welcome your event attendees is with a large floral display at the entrance like these we created for Music Together. Affordable but effective!

These flowers helps set the stage for an American Heart Association this past week at the Westin Hotel.

Balloons and Flowers? No problem

Having an event that calls for both floral and balloon decor can be tricky. Some shops create floral designs but not balloons and most balloon decorators don't feel comfortable doing flowers. That's where we come in. Take this Daddy Daughter Dance at Beden's Brook Country Club for example. This client likes to do 1/2 their tables with balloon centerpieces and the other 1/2 with flowers. Look how pretty this looks all set up.

And for Sophie's Bat Mitzvah we created both floral and balloon designs for her event at the Nassau Inn.

This baby shower being held in the Mercer County Boat House had us combining both flowers and balloons into one centerpiece concept. Hot air balloon centerpieces have been making a comeback and we love how this adorable room turned out.

Which of the events above is your favorite and would you consider using both balloons and flowers at your next party? We'd love to know!!

Below are balloons at Eno Terra for a communion party. There is just something so sweet about Balloon Centerpieces, don't you think?

Next on the third floor of Tre Piani we had this lovely Communion for a little girl. Love the cube vases with the soft pastel and white Spring flowers.

Moving on to the 1st floor of Tre Piani here in the Princeton Forrestal Village, these mint julep cups were filled with brightly colored Spring Flowers. They even added a few balloon bouquets into the decor.
